Earlier this season, Tracy McGrady pulled the ultimate in childish maneuvers by faking an injury and controversial surgery (micro-fracture) to avoid being traded. Dick Bavetta never believed that he was actually hurt.
Before tip-off the Rockets-Blazers game last night, Bavetta bounced the ball over to McGrady (who was on the bench) to entice him into the game. McGrady, knowing of Bavetta’s background as an investigator for fraudulent workers-compensation claims, gave Bavetta an “Eat Shit” smile and bounced the ball back to him.
It was a well played game of cat and mouse on both sides. However, Vegas odds favor Bavetta exposing McGrady’s bogus injury before the end of round 1.
