Guthrie is far below the professional referee level. He appears to be too slow while the game is very fast.

David Guthrie> Feb 25, 2013, Nuggets/Lakers: several replays show that David Guthrie is simply a terrible referee and possibly Kobe’s secret lover.

Guthrie = Worst of the Worst May 10, 2013 at 9:59 pm

Watching game 3 of the Heat vs Bulls in the Eastern Conference semis, and Guthrie is calling incidental contact against Heat players but ignoring blatant fouls against Bulls players throughout the 4th quarter as the Heat steadily pull away. See Noah’s “foul” on Bosh as they go for a rebound, or the clear foul on Belinelli when he sinks his 3. The announcers were confused by these calls as well. Those are game changers, and he pulls this stuff repeatedly. Either he doesn’t know what he’s doing, or he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing… interesting how it was a close and exciting game until this asshole started throttling the life out of the Bulls’ game every chance he got. The Heat just cruised from that point on.

Another blown call at the end of the Timberwolves/Mavs game. Shawn Marion clearly hit Kevin Love’s arm on that 3-pointer. Terrible referee!
